Our Restaurant
Thai-by-Jai opened its doors on May 14, 2019. Since then, many satisfied customers have found their way to us, and we are so happy to welcome them.
With 36 seats and an open kitchen, our restaurant offers an intimate and casual atmosphere. If the weather allows, you can also enjoy authentic Thai cuisine on our sunny terrace.

“Welcome to my kitchen! With more than 25 years of experience in hotels and restaurants around the world, I’ve been lucky to taste many cuisines. These experiences inspired me enormousl—but I always come back to my roots.
I prepare the purest Thai dishes just like we still make at home in my small village, Khong Chiam. In my own kitchen, I bring traditional Thai street food to the restaurant, made with locally sourced ingredients.”
Our Team
Our team is a cheerful mix of Thai and Dutch locals living in Friesland, together with international students from NHL Stenden.
We train all of our staff in-house, so they can provide guests with good service, a warm smile, and a homely atmosphere.
THAILAND
After a period of hard work, we always are looking forward to be home again with the family in beautiful Thailand. Our restaurant is always closed about 5 weeks during this time.
As soon as we’re back full of energy, we are happy to welcome you back and let you enjoy Jai’s food again.
